Canterbury Falls

Description

Canterbury Falls is a 9.5m high terraced ribbon cascade located on Canterbury Creek, a tributary of Sulphur Creek.

It is located on land purchased in 1819 by Lieutenant William Milne (1766-1826), which was sold by his heirs to James Milne in 1832, following his death. The current owner is the Anglican diocese of Hamilton, who purchased it from Hamilton Lions Club in 1960.
